How To File A Tax Extension

The individual tax deadline for most individuals to file their 2012 income tax returns is April 15, 2013! Need extra time to file? No problem!  Simply file for an automatic 6-month extension!

Note that an extension applies to the time you have to file your return; not to pay any tax due. Interest and penalties may still apply to amounts owed even if you extend your return.
